Visiting Hours & Policies

Randolph Health Visitor/Support Person Guidelines

Randolph Health Visitation Hours are 7am - 8pm daily.

Please use the Visitor Entrance, located just outside the parking deck, Monday – Friday.

Please use the Emergency Department entrance on White Oak St. Saturdays & Sundays.

Beginning January 14, 2025, 7 a.m., Randolph Health will implement visitation restrictions for children age 12 and younger due to a steady increase in flu activity in our community and hospitals throughout the region.

Restrictions do NOT apply to children 12 and younger who seek medical attention.

Restrictions may be lifted by care providers if special circumstances exist. Please speak to your Care Team at Randolph Health.

All Visitor and Support persons must: Be free of flu-like symptoms (fever, headaches/body aches, cough or sore throat, stuffy of runny nose, chills, fatigue, nausea, vomiting and/or diarrhea) each time they enter a Randolph Health facility. Visitors under the age of 16 should be accompanied by an adult. When visiting a patient with respiratory virus symptoms or on droplet or respiratory isolation, visitors should wear a mask that covers their nose and mouth while in the patient’s room. Visitors may wear a mask from home or one will be provided. If a visitor's mask from home is determined not to meet safety standards, a new mask will be provided. Perform frequent hand washing - especially upon entering facilities and before entering and exiting a patient room. Patients can have unlimited visitors each day.

ICU patients are permitted to have TWO visitors at any given time.

Emergency Department patients are permitted to have TWO visitors at any given time.

Maternity patients are permitted to have THREE adult visitors during active labor.

Once labor is completed, maternity patients can have unlimited visitors. Compassionate care visits will be provided based on the following circumstances: *end of life situations *A patient who was living with his or her family before recently being admitted to the facility and is struggling with the change in environment and lack of physical family support. *A patient who is grieving after a friend or family member recently passed away. *A patient who needs cueing and encouragement with eating or drinking, previously provided by family or caregivers, is experiencing weight loss or dehydration. *A patient, who used to talk and interact with others, is experiencing emotional distress, seldom speaking, or crying more frequently than in the past.

If a patient or family member feels their visitation rights have been violated, they may contact department leadership on their loved one’s unit or you may call our Patient Experience representative at 336-328-3456, the Department of Health and Human Services at 1-800-624-3004, or CMS Region 4 office ROATLORA@cms.hhs.gov.
